Nice staff. Large and confortable room, enough space for the babycot. Children friendly. Good food at hotel restaurant.
Room under roof was rather hot, fortunately air conditioning worked well.

Quite comfortable for a family with a little child (necessary facilities available). Big rooms. Close to everything. Nice view. Helpful staff.
Not very much adapted for people on wheelchairs (or for strollers). There are a few steps outside and no driveway. Breakfast, although very good, not impressive for a four star hotel. Expensive parking.

Excellent location with shops, restaurants, pubs, marina and beach all within a short walk. I don't know if it is permanent, but there was a very interesting collection of sculpture on show along the promenade. The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant and the hotel facilities were exceptional for the price including a great buffet breakfast.

Lots of space in bedroom and in hotel in general which made it easier to cope with a young baby
Steps in front and at restaurant - not very convenient for prams or for physically handicapped people

The Blaauwe Leeuw is a gem! The rooms are spotless and airy with great views of the Scheldt. It's conveniently located near parking and a variety of shops - including a Polish supermarket. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful - always ready to chat and offer advice. One standout service was the prompt and effective response to a noisy disturbance outside the window.
Do recommend.
